Bo Burnham’s critically acclaimed EIGHTH GRADE arrives on DVD & Blu-ray Oct. 9

The honest and charming coming-of-age comedy, Eighth Grade, arrives on Blu-ray (plus Digital) and DVD October 9 from Lionsgate. Written and directed by Bo Burnham (The Big Sick, TV’s “Zach Stone Is Gonna Be Famous”) and produced by Scott Rudin (Lady BirdEx-Machina), the Rotten Tomatoes Certified Fresh film tells the story of thirteen-year-old Kayla’s last week of middle school. Elsie Fisher (Despicable Me franchise, Training Wheels) stars as “a new iconic teenage heroine for the ages” (Ann Hornaday, The Washington Post) alongside a strong performance by Josh Hamilton (TV’s “American Horror Story”, The Bourne Identity).

Thirteen-year-old Kayla endures the tidal wave of contemporary suburban adolescence as she makes her way through the last week of middle school — the end of her thus far disastrous eighth grade year — before she begins high school.

Take home Eighth Grade and go behind the scenes with never-before-seen deleted scenes, a music video, featurette, and audio commentary with Director Bo Burnham and Actress Elsie Fisher. The Eighth Grade Blu-ray and DVD will be available October 9th.
